10 Activities Away From Electronics

Hey girls! I know that with the world having been flipped upside down with COVID 19 since last year about this time, life has seemed crazy for everyone. Maybe you have felt cooped up and your mental health has started to deteriorate some. Maybe you have felt overwhelmed by all the change and everything that is still happening—such as school. Either way, this past year has been pretty rough for a lot of people, so I wanted to give you guys ten ideas of what to do that don’t involve electronics. These are things that I love to do (even if sometimes some of them may not be an option) and I thought I would share them with you guys!

Get Creative

It’s always the right time to paint or draw and get creative! Get those brain juices flowing and moving, and enjoy some peace and sunlight as you let your creativity out!

Self-Care Time

Sometimes you just need some time to pamper yourself a bit. Maybe you’ve been wanting to paint your nails for a while, or you want to do a facemask! Get some sunlight and open your windows to let in a breeze as you take care of yourself some.

Skate

If you like to skateboard or waveboard, or maybe you can ride a RipStik, this one’s for you! Getting outside and getting some fresh air while maybe listening to some music is a great way to get those endorphins moving!

Write

Whether you’re writing a story or maybe just journaling, writing is a great way to have some time to yourself to be creative and have some fun.

Go For A Walk

Getting outside and just moving your body is good for the soul, you guys! Take a look around you and take in your surroundings.

Bible and Prayer Time

Meditating and having some abiding time with the Lord is a good idea any time of the day, every single day. Thank Him for all the small things and lift up all your worries and anxieties on Him.

Roller Skate or Blade

This one kind of goes along with the skating one, but it can be more of a social time! Roller skating and roller blading can be a group activity with family or friends.

Read

Get out that book you’ve been meaning to read for while! Get lost in the story and have some fun.

Work Out

Working out is something that personally, I don’t do a lot, but probably should more often. Much as I avoid putting it off, I always feel better after I do, and usually am in a better mood than when I started!

Cook or Bake

Try out some new recipes! Maybe it’s a new smoothie or other drink, or a new cookie recipe. You can also spend time with family and friends while doing this one, too.

So go get off the electronics and take some time to work on yourself and enjoy spending time without them! It really is fun, I promise! Remember to wear your masks and stay safe!

All the love,

Casey
